One of my newest patterns is this Mallards swimming in the water pattern. I live close to a lake in my home province of Ontario, Canada, and I go on daily walks down near the water. I love my daily lake walks, the sights are beautiful, the sound of the water is peaceful, and you can see birds enjoying the water there daily. So much so that they become just an expected part of the landscape. To capture this part of my daily life, I thought of drawing one of my favourite parts of the lake - the ducks that swim near the inlets & piers. I drew the mallards lightly gliding through the water, creating soft ripples that is reminiscent of the calm water these ducks enjoy in Lake Ontario. I've also continued my exploration of the app ProCreate with this pattern - The iPad & Apple Pencil are proving to be a very powerful combo, and procreate has tons of great options to help create digital art, whether you are going for more of a traditional look or more digital. I was happy with the results, and hope you enjoy this little piece of nature from my daily life! This pattern is listed for sale on a variety of websites - on art prints, home decor, apparel & more. With the whole lake vibes of this pattern, I've envisioned it on apparel for fishing trips and lake cottage decor. The strong teal colours add a pop of vibrance to wherever this pattern is used, while the pattern itself is quite simple. Find this pattern on more products below! Including wallpaper & fabric from spoonflower - you'll be seeing more spoonflower additions from me in the future so be sure to check it out if you do any home sewing!

My whimsical pastel clouds pattern is based on another illustration I drew as part of my daily drawing series in January. During my series, I experimented with a wide variety of styles, colour palettes and digital drawing techniques. Each piece turned out so unique, and I've been working my way through each illustration, finalizing them as patterns to add to my art shops. Not every illustration has made the cut, but the drawing challenge was a great start to the new year, and gave me the creative spark I needed in the middle of my pure winter laziness. This was one of my favourites. It was one of the more simple illustrations that I created, but I liked the overall look, colour palette and playful lines. The whimsical, swirly lineart paired with the pastel colour palette gives the final piece a soft, daydreamy, feel. I added less details than I usually would to an illustrated pattern, but I wanted to play around with colour & size for this piece. I've added this pattern to my Society6, RedBubble and Zazzle shops, so it is available on a wide variety of products and gift ideas. The soft clouds and stars paired with the shades of purple would be a lovely addition to a nursery or baby bedroom. I've shared a photo of this pattern as a wallpaper from Society6 below... along with fitting into a nursery theme, I've seen some really creative uses for wallpaper, and this pattern would also make a fantastic DIY backdrop for a bookshelf or closet nook with its dreamy, relaxing look. It's also available on a wide variety of home decor, accessories, stationery and crafting supplies, so be sure to take a look through my shop if you enjoy this pattern.
